Is it unusual for someone not to get back to you when you inquire about a honeymoon on the vendors forum? I posted something yesterday about a Sandals Honeymoon and haven't heard anything yet. I feel like everyone else gets a speedy response.

I think it might be that Christmas is so close. All the boards have been a bit slow lately. Don't worry, someone will get back to you.

Really!?!? We were thinking of going to Bahamas. One of my girlfriends went and loved it. I guess it is different for everyone, but I'm glad you gave me the heads up.

Re: VHV Forum Question
Hey Kel, one of the guys I work with went to Sandals at St. Lucia and he had a miserable time. I just asked him about it and his words were, 'Don't even waste your time.' But again, he went to St. Lucia.
Sorry!

You are correct. sorry. then it was either Jamaica or Bahamas. My dental hygienist just got married in September and told me she left the Sandals in St. Lucia b/c she wasn't happy there especially with the room and told me another client of hers that got married around the same time left a Sandals at a different location for the same reason. Just wanted to warn people.

Re: VHV Forum Question
But there are 3 different Sandals in St Lucia, which one did they stay at where they had such bad experiences? Alot of people I know who went to Sandals in St Lucia (they stayed at theGrand) and they had nothing but great reviews on it.

Re: VHV Forum Question
We went to the Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica for my birthday (pics in my album). We got the honeymoon suite & got a butler, so we really enjoyed ourselves. We got lots of extra attention & special treatment. The place is less than a year old so it was really nice. They have an AMAZING spa. It is a very laid back resort in the middle of nowhere. Literally. Nothing around. No town. No attractions nearby. But beware: It's NOT cheap. I think it was close to $8k for 5 nights.
I think you have to go all out if you are going to do it. It makes a big difference. A couple we met wasn't impressed but they got a standard room and still paid $6k.
My only real negative comment is that the food was not spectacular. It was kind of like being on a cruise. Lots of food, plenty opportunities to eat, but not 5 star. Some of the meals actually s ucked.
I also think it depends which one you go to. They all have different personalities so be sure to talk to a travel pro. We went to the Negril location for the day & it was a 180 from our resort. It was a totally diff vibe. It was Spring Break-ish. It wasn't what we were looking for AT ALL and we left almost immediatly upon arrival. We didn't even stay for lunch. No joke.
I def recommend the Whitehouse if you are into secluded, relaxing vacation. BUT for the money, you can prob do a nice week in Hawaii... JMO...
HTH!

Re: VHV Forum Question
It could be the holidays - Lots of people are away from work for a while, etc.
I hardly ever get responses either! I posted about photographers and maybe heard from 2...
I posted today about limos and have 2 so far... Guess we'll see if I get any more quotes.

Actually I just found out today that 2 different people I work with went to the Grand. One had a good time and the other was miserable.

Re: VHV Forum Question
Thanks for your help. I contacted Marcia at Travel Solutions and we are going to meet with her after the new year. She was to 'educate' us! But she did say that going to Aruba on your honeymoon is like going to the moon, there is no romance.
