Michael Vick, he plays (played?) for the Falcons. He's the one that was involved w/the dog fighting.

not surprisd... he's got too much to lose.. hopefully he'll bounce back.. if he was truly ignorant of what was going on..

bounce back? no. i hope his career is over and people hold this against him for the rest of his life. he's disgusting and our legal system is letting him off RIDICULOUSLY easy. what a pig.

From CNN.com:

Court documents released last week showed that two of Vick's alleged partners said he helped kill dogs that didn't fight well, and that all three men 'executed approximately eight dogs' in ways that included hanging and drowning.

And there was mention that the NFL is still trying to figure out what, if any, sanctions they will put on him.

He’s plead guilty to a felony charge. He’s going to prison for at least some period of time. And the NFL still doesn’t notice if they’re going to sanction him?!?!?

I agree. He knew EXACTLY what was going on!! Did you see the dogfighting piece on Real Sports on HBO? I couldn't even get through it all because I wanted to vomit/cry. I can only hope that he gets treated the way those dogs are treated. And yes, he's getting off so easy I can't even think of analogy to compare to how easy he's getting it. He makes me sick.

They'll suspend/fire (hopefully fire) him in the end. They're just waiting for the courts to make a decision so they don't get sued. It's all about covering your own @ss unfortunately, in their case.

WOW do NOT even get me started on what I feel is the proper justice.....

I believe that he should be treated just as he treated those dogs...

I really would love nothing more then to see him BRUTTALLY AND HAYNEOUSLY ATTACKED like those animals were, put HIM on the rape stand like he did to those poor animals and electrocuted like those poor dogs were.

I really am by FAR more partial to animals then people......

Inkedupkitten, i have a pit bull so I am so totally with you here. Eye for an eye. What makes people think they can abuse animals like this?? Because they can't speak up for themselves??? So, so sad.

BTW, I have a petition that calls for the strongest penalty available for that @ss who tied a dog to a tree and burned him ... if anyone is interested FM me.

Our 'legal' system apparently doent hold true when you are famous/rich! Its such a joke!

Fortunately, in most instances you can be tried in a court of law where all the facts are heard before you are cruicified.

I am by no means justifying cruelty to animals but let's not take the word of people who were involved in this cruelty and took a plea to save their own skin.

While I don't know all the facts and I am inclined to believe that Vick is involved, I'm more inclined to believe that justice will not be served because the authorities are out to make a statement by penalizing the 'celebrity' more than having regard for those who actually tortured the animals.

Even if he never physically touched or actually tortured one of those animals, he knew what was going on.....I do not believe for a second his 'claim' that he didn't. And in my opinion, having any knowledge of what was going on and not saying anything to stop it makes him equally as guilty as those who were physically involved.
