I read in another post that you walked a lot and gave birth at 37 weeks. How much did you walk everyday? Was it a couple of hours? I started walking a lot more when it got warmer, but I've slacked the last couple of weeks since it's freezing again! My other problem is that after about 10-15 minutes of walking I feel like I have to pee, the pressure gets bad, so I have to be close to a bathroom
I guess being in a mall would make sense so I can take breaks, sit and have access to a bathroom !

Re: Victoria
I did lots of walking, but I took breaks and carried water around to sip to stay hydrated. Two days before is when I went all out. I walked around BRU for about 1.5 hrs. Then I went to the source mall and walked a little more before beaking for lunch. Then I walked around the mall a little more. I took bathroom breaks as often as needed, but I never had a bladder issue during my pregnancy. I sat for about 40 mins. in the car to drive back towrds home. I stopped at the mall by my house to get a nursing nightgown for the hospital. That was probably another hour of walking. I am happy I pushed myself to stop for the nightgown or I may have gone to the hospital without it. I recommend you pace yourself and stop before you feel tired. My feet hurt after all that walking, but I made sure I had no swelling. I do not know if this really helped kick me into labor, but walking after my water broke help me to dilate faster, along with everthing else I learned in the Bradley Method book. I wish you the bests of luck. If you need a walking partner I can meet you somewhere and bring my daughter in the stroller. I can use the exercise to shed the last few pounds of baby weight.

Nina--
I also walked every day-- up and down the hills in my development-- I just took it slow and drank lots of water . I had my baby 2 1/2 weeks early-- due to having pre-eclampsia-- But the Dr's said the walking helped with the fluid retention and blood circulation -- if I did not walk as much -- my pre-eclampsia could have been worse..
