I just wanted to give future brides some advice I unfortunatly learned the hard way. I am a regular poster but don't want to bad mouth my vidoegrapher until I am able to speak with him.
Make sure you give specifics to the videographer on what you want recorded. I had thought that they recorded most of the events but when i recieved my unedited video it was less than 2 hours long. The ceremony was 35 minutes incluing processional, pictures at a 'park', cocktail hour, and 4 hour reception. We had the videographer for 8 1/2 hours! He missed ALOT of what I think at important parts of the day, most at the reception. 1) Bride (me) dancing with my grandfather 2) Bride dancing with brother(groomsman) 3) Groom dancing with my mom 4) MOH dancing with ring bearer 5) guests arriving at the church- Not 1 shot of any guests. This one I can kind of understand them not getting but I would have liked to see since I wasn't there.
Most importantly - They cut out half of my sisters toast!!!!! WTH? This one I do not understand at all.
Yes they need to eat as well but none of these occured during dinner. And BTW I ate every course so they didn't occur when he should have been eating.
Just my advice. I didn't know to do it for the video.
