Video or no video?

Video or no video?

Money being the most concern, I would rather spend the money or a better photograper than so-so photographer and a so-so video.

Are you getting video? Why or why not?

FH says, 'The only time people watch their wedding video is when their spouse dies.'

I don't know what to do...

And if any of my friends read this, don't yell at me. I am trying to get pluses and minuses about it. I figure I can get ideas to support my argument...

If i left any choices out feel free to express your opinion.

Thanks!

I really do want one but I don't think we'll be able to afford it

I am getting video...With so much going on that day there are things you'll probably miss so i would like to see it...Plus like i said it goes by so fast it would be nice to sit and watch and really focus on some things you might've not focused on.

But see i am a person who would actually watch the video, and numerous times too...It all depends on you, whether you think the money is worth it and if its something you will actually get use out of

At first, FH and I were not going to do video. What we were going to do is buy a camcorder and have someone video tape important parts of the day. However, when i told my dad this (he is paying for photo and video) he got mad at me and said that photo and video are things you need to have at the wedding and quality is important because these are the elements that capture your day and memories so that you can look back at them forever.. And i see his point, which is why really thinking about it i think its really important to have one.

we initially didn't want video, but after researching it, we've decided to do it. I don't want traditional video though beacuse I think that they tend to be a little cheesy sometimes. I am looking at using Timeless Treasure Flims.

check out halovideo.com. His prices were really good and quality was awesome. We just wanted to book photo and video with the same company. He is located in Woodside, Queens. His prices are low because he's the guy companies hire to shoot videos. So since he is using his own company he doesnt charge as much

I have mixed feelings - we're def getting one but if we didn't - I wouldn't cry about it.

I just think we'll watch it the first two years of marriage and then never again. To be honest - I HATE watching other people's wedding videos. I hate seeing people awkwardly look at the camera and then continue to dance - it's like a bad reality show to me. Oh and the interviews - (best Brian Griffin impression: a-w-k-w-a-r-d). So NOT having those.

If it were up to me, I'd have just our ceremony recorded.

Thank you so much!!! I am all sorts of relieved all of a sudden...

they have sample video clips on the website and I love them. I actually cried watching one of them...I'm such a dork!! They're like the video version of a storybook photo album. Angelica Glass recommends them, also.

me tooo!!! my two video friends liked tt the best out of everyone i sent them...so im going to meet with them.

pending my whole imagine sitch...cuz if i really want them for photo and i have to do video with them...then maybe ill just deal.

i do however think a video is important...and even if u dont get a 'pro'...just something to at least capture the important parts like the vows, the kiss, the cake, the dances, etc...

that being said...that's why i want the video...i want to be able to watch us do those parts and see it from a difference perspective and see all the little things i missed throughout the day.

At first we weren't going to go witha video. Actually I was the one who didn't want to go with video but FH did. I asked on the boards and many people responded. I think it will help you see things you missed, capture memories in a different way than still photographs can, and you can relive your vows over and over. I went with Velvet for both and felt I was able to get a lot for the $ at what I was hoping to pay for.
