VIDEO - Should I be paying for my raw footage?????

Is this common practice????? am I getting ripped off? I think this should be automatically given to me......at no additional cost!

I think standard policy is that your raw footage would be included. After all, you're paying them to shoot something, so why wouldn't that be included? I would confirm with them before booking.

did they verbally tell you that it didn't include your raw footage (or did they tell you that it did)? A verbal contract is still a contract so maybe there's a way to get around it?

I specifically asked him to confirm that the raw footage was included, and he said no, they charge for it. its on my contract.

I'm so irriated right now.....I feel like crying.....

I'm calling him tomorrow better yet, I'm going to go there........

I would give them a call and tell them that you feel as though you're being double charged- you're already paying them to be there and be videoing you and you're also being forced to pay for the footage that you're paying them to shoot- that's ridiculous!!!

Let me know how it goes because I'm using a different videographer than you and I'm also being charged for the raw footage. I'm interested to hear the explanation.

I do know that a lot of places charge you a minimal fee for it. Others include it in the package. I am getting both.

It was included in my package, but i think its not the most common thing to get it included. I was actually a little shocked that I would be getting all the raw footage included in my package. But I am happy I am.
