video VENT

As some of you may know from my other posts, I have been having trouble with my photographer/videographer. Last time I called, I was told the video would be ready by the end of the month. I called today and the receptionist got back to me saying the video department did not have my photographs for the beginning of the video. I informed her that I dropped those off WEEKS before the wedding. She said she'd get back to me. Two minutes later, she called me back saying that they found them (amazing how they found them so fast once I said something), and that it would be another 2 1/2-3 weeks!

I was just relieved that they found them, so I thanked her and hung up, but now I'm fuming! If they didn't think they had my photos, shouldn't they have called me to ask?!

I am so sick of dealing with this SH*T!!

That sucks!

Why don't you say something? It sounds like you just took her answer and hung up. Call back and get agressive! If you allow them to, they will keep doing this.

I'm terrible at being assertive! I know I should have said something, but I never think of what to say until I hang up the phone. DH just got pissed when I called him and he's going to call them now.

That is sooo anoying! I agree - I would def. call back & speak with the manager & be a little more agressive. I wouldn't get too emotional (since they do hold your pics/video in their possesion) but I would def. be firm about this!

I know what you mean. I used to be, but got so fed up with feeling trampled on. Unfortunetly, we live in an area of the country where alot of people don't give a crap about each other, and they will walk all over you if you are 'nice'! I can tell you, I speak up now (amidst pounding heart, sweat, shaking, red face) but feel SO MUCH BETTER when it is done! You can be assertive without getting angry or irrational or emotional. It takes practice though...Sorry, didn't mean to give you a lesson, but I feel so liberated in my life now since making this change!
