Vienesse Hour

my potential RH is charging $15 pp, which I think is way unreasonable...do people even get around to eating all that food? opinions please

Yes! Love VH

Mine charged the same amount and at the end of the night, we know it's going to be worth it.

The VH is also doubling as our 'favors' though... we're giving our guests mini boxes and making a donation to St. Jude's in their honor so even if they are stuffed, they will be able to take some home and enjoy it later.

Just curious but would you mind FMing me the RH... I've only ever heard of mine having it that high before

Re: Vienesse Hour

thats the most I heard for a Viennese hour... i'm not having one.. although i like the idea of extending my wedding night, I just think it's so much food after you already had a ton...

We decided it wasn't worth the extra $$ to have to pay all the vendors the extra hour plus the cost of the Viennese hour. The coffee & cordials carts are included with our dessert & cake. I figure we can always extend the party at the Lounge next door!

Any time I have ever been to a wedding I've filled my plate at the Vienesse Hour and then barely touched any of it because I'm so stuffed.

Almost every hall I went to charged $15 per person as well. I a huge sweets person so for me I had to have it either way we just happened to get lucky with our hall and get it for $10 per person.

Our place provides cookies and pastries on each table, so that is enough along with the cake. The amount of food they will be getting is a ton, so I am not spending more. I want my honeymoon to start as soon as possible, so I am out of there as soon as it ends....

Ours charges that much to extend it for the hour WITHOUT any additional food!

Re: Vienesse Hour

Our hall normally charges an extra $10pp but we got them to throw it into our contract at no charge. I also put out pastry boxes so guests could take desserts home if they didn't want to eat it right then and there. It was a HUGE hit.......people are still raving about NRC's VH.

Re: Vienesse Hour

Yea $15 was what i was quoted at most of my places, too..its totally up to you if you have one or no, we personally LOVE desserts so we are into it...maybe it would be cheaper to get outside vendors if your RH allows it? For instance, we are getting our choc fountain from someowhere else since it is wayyy less per person than if we added the option from our RH

yep sounds totally worth it if you ask me.

ours was luckily thrown in.

Re: Vienesse Hour

Our RH charges 15pp. we are thinking about doing it and just having little bags/boxes so people can load them up and take some treats home at the end of the night

Re: Vienesse Hour

I personally think that is alot of $$ to shell out. Even if you have boxes for ppl to fill up and take home, alot of people don't anyway because they dont want junk food and sweets in their house.

I love dessert no seriously love it - but let me tell you something every single wedding I have gone to that has had a VH I have never even gone near it because I'm always too stuffed - IMO I think you should save your money - people want favors anyway not doggy bags.

i ALWAYS look forward to the VH so i def think it's worth it! luckily our RH threw that in for us!!!

Re: Vienesse Hour

We're not getting it at ours, but because of timing of our ceremony and CH, we were practically going to lose a half hour of our 1.5 hr CH, so the RH took off a half hour and gave us a chocolate fountain. After that addition I'm sure everyone will be full.

Re: Vienesse Hour

VH is my fav part of a wedding so I always look for it. So worth it IMO. See if you can talk them down...we got $4 off per person which brought it to $16 (we had breakfast too so it was originally $20 p/p )
