Viennese hour - Long Island Weddings

we didn't want our guest to go into a separate room for dessert right when the party is getting started, so we decided to add italian pastries on every table instead. So we will have pastries, wedding cake, and a dessert option that we pick at the food tasting

I am! I love dessert and we're having to go boxes for everyone who is too full at the wedding!

Viennese hour - Long Island Weddings

We want to do it since we LOVE dessert. We're hoping it fits into our budget. If we do get to do it, we might have some to go boxes so people can take some home. Whatever's left over we would get to keep :) But hopefully we can afford it.

Viennese hour - Long Island Weddings

We are doing one since my dad really wanted one. He believes this is the last impression of the wedding so he thought it was a must have. Since he is paying for the wedding I couldn't argue with him. What I like about my venue is that it doesn't take up space in the ballroom. They open up doors that are attached to reveal the Viennese display.

Viennese hour - Long Island Weddings

We are doing one. My one gripe with it was that it would interrupt the party, because we have been to weddings where they throw the Viennese right on the dance floor, but our venue does it directly outside of the ball room, so I figure, if people want dessert, they can get dessert, and if people want to dance, they'll be on the dance floor. :) Also, its already included in our price PP, it wasn't an add on which was a huge bonus! I've had the Viennese at our venue and it would be a shame not to do it. :)

Larkfield gives us the cake, 3 tier dessert tray, zeppoli bar, and cannoli bar. I think Viannese would be WAY too much!

I wanted to ask our RH if they could do something like that, FH is Italian and I think that would be great and I LOOOOOOOOOOVE ME SOME CANNOLIS!

Can I be honest? I just want the extra hour....I mean it all goes by waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too quick! My only thing about it is that some venues DO NOT make an an additional hour, they just do as the last hour of your four reception. Most places I asked did it that way. I believe Sandcastle and Floral Terrace are the two that I know of that actually add on an additional hour to your 4-hour reception.

And yes I love that Milleridge does it in the gorgeous atrium.

Viennese hour - Long Island Weddings

We're having a daytime wedding, so it didn't make sense to pay extra for all this extra food when we already plan on having an 'after party' somewhere once the reception is over... we opted not to do it

We are skipping on it. Like many others have said, I agree that it might take away from the dancing. Also, Larkfield has so much food I think Cake and ice cream is all that is needed.
