This might be a dumb question but... should we mention on our reception cards that go out with the invites that there will be an additional Viennese hour added on to the Reception? Usually it wouldn't matter but the only reason I'm concerned is bc our cocktail hour starts @ 7pm and the reception w/ Viennese will last 8pm-1am! I just want people to know that it will last so late in case they need to hire babysitters, etc! I would hate for people to be leaving early that night bc they didn't know ahead of time. Anyone have this situation or have a reception card language suggestion for me?
What about something like:
'Cocktails, Dinner, Dancing & Viennese to follow beginning @ 7pm'

You could...but I don't know if it's necessary. I'm not and mine ends at 12:30. I figure if people know they're going to a wedding and need to get a sitter, it would kind of just be assumed that they're going to get home late. JMO.

I've been to 3 weddings, all with Viennese hour and the invites never mentioned it. I don't think it's necessary but if they are close family that may need sitters and you really want to give them a heads up you can always let your mother and MIL let those people know via word of mouth out of consideration.

I didn't and mine ended at 1:30am
I've also never received a wedding invitation that had VH on it

what you can do is write
Cocktail hour starting at 7pm
and Reception from 8pm-1am, thats all. Just put the time but dont have to say VH
