Vienniesse Hour - how many are you having one added with your RH package?
I am on the fence about adding a Vienniesse hour for my wedding. As I understand, its just an extra dessert hour correct? My parents and most of FH family usually like to get home early after an event, so if our reception ends at midnight, it seems like overkill to extend the wedding until 1 am (esp since FH hates going to bed too late)...
so my question is..how many are you doing the extra hour and how much more $$ is it costing you?

we aren't. at our hall it would be $15 pp to add it so I dont think its worth it. esp bc we will have the cake, a tasting plate with a few different desserts for each person, cookie favors and i may do a grooms cake.i think thats plenty dessert!

We are having one....and we're getting it with breakfast too in addition to all the crazy desserts!!
It's supposed to be $18 per person for VH with extra hour, $20 per person if you add the breakfast to it. If you want all the desserts and stuff but not the extra hour, I think it was like $14 or 16 per person.
Instead of paying the $20 with the breakfast, they took $4 off and gave it to us for 16.

I'm not...we're getting more than enough food already. Plus we plan on having some food at our after party.

We arent. Most people usualy leave halfway through it anyway and I think most people are stuffed by the time all those desserts come out.

We aren't. We just can't afford it. It would be nice but the money just isn't in the budget.

We are doing an extra 1 1/2 hours. The whole shin dig will be over at 1am!! Our families like to party into the weeeee hours.
I'm hoping I'll be able to take boxes and boxes of goodies home because I know I'll be too drunk to eat sweets.
We may be going on a cruise out of Baltimore on Sunday, so we won't do the hotel thing.

We are just having a vienniesse table in the cocktail hour room during the reception. The two rooms are connected by a door.

Nobody will probably even be able to fit another bite of food but we'll see... I'll take some waffles to go, please

We are! It's normally an extra $10pp at my hall, but we got it thrown in for free!

We did it, 15pp but I loveeeee dessert I knew I was getting the VH whever we booked, it was a must have for me. IMO you def do not need it though.

We got ours thrown into our package. I am excited because it's adding an entire hour on to my reception, more time to party!!

An option you can have is 'a taste of viennese' which is when they bring the wedding cake out, they also place platters with different mini desserts (cannolis, cream puffs, little slices of different kinds of cake, chocolate covered strawberries, etc.) on each table, this way you won't have to extend the time but still get to have more desserts.
FH & I are having the viennese, but we were able to negotiate it into our contract for $5 a person....we really want the chocolate fountain.
