Villa brides...couple questions

1-Are we allowed to throw/drop rose petals at the Villa? 2-Are candles allowed? 3-Are you/were you concerned about the fact that they have more than one event at one time?

Directly from my 'Instruction Sheet': The us of smoke machines, bubbles and confetti are prohibited Personal menus are prohibited! For outdoor ceremonies: Rice throwing and bubbles are permitted. Rose petals are not permitted. Bird seed is not permitted. We recommend biodegradable/non flavored plain rice. Indoor ceremonies: Rice throwing, bubbles or rose petals are not permitted. May we suggest for indoor and outdoor ceremonies...Ringing bells. .................................... I didn't ask about candles but my centerpieces have them and I'm sure they are ok. I was very concerned about the other wedding going on because I know the other person (and can't stand them!). Villas will have 2 extra people gaurding our suite and dinner room, to make sure we don't see them. I would have changed my date but Villas said we would lose our deposit. Hope this helps, I am very excited about my wedding but still alittle nervous about the other wedding.

Bride to be summed everything up. In terms of candles, are you making your own centerpieces?? I got our centerpieces from our florist which had candles and was allowed them. In fact Villa does provide candles on the tables, because Gabe asked us if we wanted candles on the tables, but we said no because it was part of our centerpiece. I was NOT concerned at all about the other wedding, because it started later than us, so I didnt see anyone until later on that night from the other wedding. That didnt bother me at all.

I just spoke to Villas and they said they provide 2 taper (10inch) crystal candles per table. (As Diane said) Hope that helps. :)

BRIDE-TO-BE...

When you say 'personal menus' do you mean we can't put their entree selections on a menu card to decorate the tables?

No, it means that they wont let you put menus that YOU made on the tables. They want you to purchase their menus, so you cant make your own and put them on the table.

BRIDE-TO-BE...

I'm a little disappointed because I had planned on making my own menu cards. Have you seen the ones they sell? Is there a variety as far as paper type and style? Do they personalize it with your names/date?

I bought the cards, I figured what the heck we are paying so much for the hall it self, what is another $100 or so. No they wont let you make your own. I think you only have the one choice in color it is like a gold/yellowish color. I thought it was a big bonus, because the selection is too long, and this way when the waiters were ready to take the order, the guests were ready too. Yes, they do put your names on the menu. It is on the first page. I saved mine and put it in my photo album for keeps sake.

I dont remeber off hand, I will find out. I know you had to buy a minimum of 100. I think we paid about $200, we had 120 made up.
