One of my BMs had her Sweet 16 there some years ago and they were amazing. I have never heard anything bad about them. FH and I spoke with Albina when we went there. She was really nice and easy to work with

Villa Lombardi's
My fiancee and i just booked our wedding there after seeing about 12 other places. We fell in love with the place and the price we were quoted at blew away all the other venues. They really helped us customize everything and were very accommodating. I've heard nothing but good reivews about the food, how beautiful it is and even vendors told me how clean it is from the reception room to the kitchen to the bathrooms.

Re: Villa Lombardi's
I know several people who have used Villa Lombardi's as well as the other Lomnbardi's venues and I never heard one bad thing! I don't know where you read bad reviews but I think any place is bound to have a few bad reviews, everyone has different things that are important to them or bug them. If majority of feedback is positive then you have nothing to be worried about!!

Re: Villa Lombardi's
I have been to 2 weddings there since last summer. I posted a little mini-review last June-- I will copy and paste it in here for you:Foremost-- the cocktail hour food was the yummiest wedding food I ever had. It was just good food all around, even not for a wedding. Also, the salad course mentioned above was so good. I would order it off a menu at any restaurant for my dinner! There was also a lovely lemon sorbet intermezzo. For dinner, I am a vegetarian so I had the grilled vegetables. Everything was just tender enough and seasoned very well. My friend ordered salmon which she said was delicious, and my FH had chicken valentino I think it was, which was stuffed with cheese and spinach. He said it was very good. I heard the lamb was not the best and was overcooked. With dinner they served a potato croquette which was so delicious that my FH went around the table asking our friends for their leftovers lol. To be honest though, everyone was stuffed by the time the main course arrived. Many people at the table sent at least half of their plates back to the dining room because there was just no room to eat any more! As I said earlier, the wedding cake was fabulous. I liked it as much as I like homemade cakes. It was moist and delicious and not too sweet. We had a wedding at East Wind the night prior and the cake was dry there, so this one really stood out to us as being fabulous. It was served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
As far as everything else:
The service was exquisite. Wait staff brought us drinks to the table so we didn't have to wait at the bar. Every time you got up after a course, your napkin was nicely refolded for you and your table setting cleaned. The tables looked lovely with silver chargers on each table. They had beautiful menus. I did not, however, like that there was only one menu per couple (IDK if that;s standard or not).
Restrooms were fine-- shared with another wedding party. We did, at times, see bridesmaids from the other wedding. We saw them hanging out in the lobby between the CH and reception. It didn't bother me, but I know some people do not like to see other wedding parties on their day.
My final comment is on the acoustics of the room. They had a band (Code Bleu, was very enjoyable), and we found it very difficult to hear what they were saying when making announcements. At times I nearly missed some of my friend's special moments (bride dancing with her grandfather, etc) because I couldn't even hear that an announcement was made, let alone what they said. We also had difficulty hearing the MOH and BM speeches. This is something to consider that you couldn't necessarily tell just from seeing the space.
Overall, it seems like a great place to have a wedding. If you care a lot about the food, this is the place for you. I would tend to say that some of the benefits of having a live band may be lost in this space though. Just my two cents. Hope it helped! :)
