Villa- Suckling Pig?

Is anyone that is having their reception at Villa having the Suckling pig during the cocktail hour? My FH wants to have this as an addition if we decide to book there. I am hesitant because the banquet manager we met with told us we would have to pay per head. All other places we have met with (7) told us that it would be a flat rate of about 300 dollars to have a suckling pig. We would already be paying per head for a viennese and to pay per head for a pig (YUCK!) seems to be a little silly for me, especially since it would end up costing over 1500 dollars to have it there. Thanks all!

Yeah, I dunno about that at a reception.
But my Fiance is from philly and his family has a mtn house in the poconos and we are having a pig roast in a few weeks there great! I dunno about for a reception/cocktail hour though..

Re: Villa- Suckling Pig?

I would think twice about this unless your families are very big on it. I find a suckling pig very unappetizing and it would turn me off for the rest of the night.
My hall charges per person to add anything to the meal or cocktail hour. that is pretty common.

Well, As gross as it may be, I say if your fiance really wants it then get it. I am sure you did most of the planning and he probably didn't get to choose a lot. Let him add his 'special' touch.
