I just wanted to know how many people you guys are inviting and how many you think is too many for the room.
At first we were worried about making the 110 min. and now we are all of a sudden at almost 200 people. MIL is going crazy with her list.
Do you think 200 is gonna be too crowded?
For all the past brides how many people did you have and how was it as far as space?

Re: vineyard caterers brides
I personally am not getting married there but my friends did in July and they had 185 and it wasn't too crowded at all-they dance floor was PACKED but that was because they had an awesome DJ and everyone was dancing all night long.
ETA: I would've chose the Vineyards myself if my friends hadn't just gotten married there-we wanted something different.

Re: vineyard caterers brides
We are not having ours there, but we went to my best friends wedding there. They had 180 guests and it was absolutely fine. More than enough room. The cocktail hour room was one of the biggest I have ever seen! Everyone could have sat down if they wanted to. It was a great place to have a wedding.

Re: vineyard caterers brides
We are having 200 there and the guy said it could very comfortably seat 225 and that 250 would fit but it would be tight. Hope this helps,

Re: vineyard caterers brides

Re: vineyard caterers brides
I think you will be fine! The room gave me a tigh impression at first too but I walked to the furthest corner and looked back... it seemed alot larger from that angle! You should think about doing 12 at a table instead of 10... it will take away a few tables and give you more dance floor... Bill said we should do that too! (Plus it saves on centerpieces!)

Re: vineyard caterers brides
that's a good idea. Everytime I go there I look at the size of the room and it always looks different to me.
what hotel did everyone book for their OOT guests?

Re: vineyard caterers brides
Well.... I am using the Hampton Inn in Brookhaven but someone just posted on here tonight that they are no longer providing free transportation to the Vineyard! I am already in a contract for this so I left a msg... I am going to fuming if they are revoking it!

Re: vineyard caterers brides
Hi! We're getting married at VC too, though our wedding will be on the smaller side so I'm not worried about fitting. Here's what we're doing:
Vendors: 12th Night Photo, Duet Video, Flowers by Emil, and Music By Michael.
Colors: Pink and green. We're having a day wedding, somewhat casual, with a Hamptons-esque feel to it.
Favors: 1 bottle of LI wine per couple
Flowers: Pink roses and gerberas mostly, with some white in the bouquets and green in the centerpieces.
Centerpiece: pink roses and gerberas with green hydrangea thrown in - these will be full arrangements in galvanized buckets with pink and green raffia bows tied around them.
As far as hotels, we blocked rooms in the Best Western. They also offer 1 shuttle for every 10 rooms booked. My family from OOT will be renting a house in Hampton Bays.
Nice to see so many Vineyard brides!
