We are having the ceremony at the Vineyard. Also, we have blocked 20 rooms at the Best Western. I am a little worried that won't be enough but I guess we will see.

Btw, we just called Hampton Inn (we have rooms reserved there for backup) and they said if you have a contract with them already, they will still provide shuttle service. Its only for future brides that the no shuttle service will apply.

Hi! We're getting married at VC too, though our wedding will be on the smaller side so I'm not worried about fitting. Here's what we're doing:

Vendors: 12th Night Photo, Duet Video, Flowers by Emil, and Music By Michael.

Colors: Pink and green. We're having a day wedding, somewhat casual, with a Hamptons-esque feel to it.

Favors: 1 bottle of LI wine per couple

Flowers: Pink roses and gerberas mostly, with some white in the bouquets and green in the centerpieces.

Centerpiece: pink roses and gerberas with green hydrangea thrown in - these will be full arrangements in galvanized buckets with pink and green raffia bows tied around them.

As far as hotels, we blocked rooms in the Best Western. They also offer 1 shuttle for every 10 rooms booked. My family from OOT will be renting a house in Hampton Bays.

Nice to see so many Vineyard brides!

Do you have a picture of your centerpieces, would love to see them?

I don't have any yet, but my florist will be doing a sample soon, and I will post them as soon as I have them!

We are also doing our ceremony at the hall. It's too beautiful not to! :o)

Congrats VC brides - you'll love every minute of it.
I was just poking around the BHB section and saw your thread. My wedding was very small, and they made it seem as lovely as a huge affair. 200 people would definitely be fine.

I used Jack & Rose for flowers, who did a great job. And Then Til Now as the DJ (family uses them all the time) but i loved music by michael. He seemed great.

We went to Duckwalk vineyards for our favors - if you join their 'wine club', you get a percentage off each case (can mix different kinds of wines). We went with windmill white & blush, it came to maybe $6 per bottle when all was said & done i think. which we gave 1/couple.

OK, Good luck - i'm so excited for you all!

Thanks for the tip on the wine Marie! I'm glad your wedding came out so lovely.

So, I had a question come up in my mind recently, and I wondered if anyone else had considered it. We're having our ceremony on site because of the beauty of the grounds. Likewise, I'm really looking forward to having our pictures done using all of the different outdoors options available (gazebo, fountain, vineyards, arbor, etc.). Now let's just say (God forbid) that it rains. I know the vineyard will set things up for an indoor ceremony, but has anyone considered where to take pics if that happens? I'm thinking the front room with the fireplace, staircase, and piano is nice, and maybe we could sneak some photos in outside if it clears any, but is that enough? Is there anything else nearby that might work? Thanks!

Hello,

I don't know the area too well. But, in October there will be loads of pumpkin farms to stop and take pictures at. I don't know, this might sound cheesy to some but if you're getting married in October out there (on the way), you can always do this.

I change my date from Oct 21 to Sept 16 so that I could have an outdoor ceremony there. the grounds are beautiful enough, but is anyone doing any other decorating besides maybe centerpieces?

By the way, the inside in case it rains is beautiful as well. the staircase, and fireplace, by the piano. these will be juts as nice. I actually want to take some photos inside as well as out.
