What are your thoughts on this place? Is it on a main road...etc? Is there a view? Any info will help? I did a search on here, but not that much info. TIA

Re: VIP Country Club?
It's not off of a main road like Fountainhead. It's along the shore but I don't think they have a view. They do have some very nice fountains though. There's a lot of marble and it's very large, almost felt like a hotel at first. It was nice but they tried to tell us that it was very private even though they have multiple weddings but... from the reception of one wedding you have a clear view of the outdoor ceremony of someone else. That was just a concern for us since we planned to get married onsite.
ETA: The really nice thing was one of their cocktail hour rooms. It was in a sunken room that had a fireplace in one corner. I love fireplaces, so I thought it was cool. Not needed in July though but it was a plus in my book

Re: VIP Country Club?
we visited VIP while we were looking for a spot(we booked at Greentree which is like 2 clubs before), I dont think you can see the view of the water, at least not from inside. I thought the place itself was very nice! I loved the fountain in the front. I also liked the cocktail area and they told us they could set it up outside also.
I dont think the dance floors were granite..but places always make changes so you should call and find out if thats something thats important to you.

We visited VIP also. FH loved it, it was a little large for me and pricey in my opinion. Like Jennie said it is large and you get the hotel feel. I suggest going to see all the clubs on Davenport and see which is best for you. Greentree was the best for us but they are all beautiful. We saw all except for Davenport Club.

If you're looking for the best water view, you should go check out Beckwith Point. It's the last club, so it has the nicest view. But all of the clubs on that road are pretty nice, it just depends what look you're going for.
