VIP Country Club

I just wanted to let the VIP brides know that I went to see the venue again last weekend and let me say there is absolutely nothing for us to worry about. I stopped in unannounced because I was in the area and the Manager, Tom, dropped everything (he was setting up for a wedding) to talk to me and show me around again. I got to see the cocktail hour all set up and it looked soooooooo amazing! There were so many stations and it just looked really great. I also got to see how quickly they can turn over a room (there was one wedding that had ended and another one they were expecting) and they are soooo organized and great about it. I think it took 30mins maybe and the room looked totally amazing! Everyone was so friendly...I even got to meet a bridal attendant who I am going to request; he was the nicest person ever! The details of the room looked great. They even wrap the napkins with a cute little quote. The manager said they are looking into options to cover the chairs and might have them purchased before my wedding which would be nice....even though the chairs really don't look bad. Ohh and they also set up a tent outside of the smaller room where we can do out desserts. There is a pretty chandelier hanging....I think it will look really nice at night. I'm am so excited and so happy I stopped by. So VIP CC ladies we made a good choice!!!!

Re: VIP Country Club

Thank you for sharing that info! I love hearing great things about them. Im so glad they might purchase seat covers, I was thinking I might have to rent them from somewhere else. My FH's friend recently went to a wedding there and told us everything was great and he said the food was unforgettable.

Re: VIP Country Club

I hope I didn't get anyones hopes up....he just said they were considering them. I don't know if he gets them or not. He said they are a lot of work to press before a wedding.

Re: VIP Country Club

With the chair cushions being blue and all, I think it would be MAJOR if they get the chair covers. The chair covers are work to press? ugh what a lame excuse! If its that much work then I wouldnt mind if they charge the covers is if I were renting them from them. I would prefer it that way than have to recruit to some other place and on the day of, be worrying wether or not the chair covers have come in. I remember when I first saw the chairs I didnt mind that the cushions were blue downstairs after all, its only for an hour. but when I saw them upstairs too the first thing I said was oh no its a nighmare.... I think the guy was a little upset. I think its a turn off to some ppl who are interested in the location when they say that they do not have chair covers and they will have to be rented elsewhere. I suppose thats why they are considering getting their own. With the rough times they can make a bigger profit.

Re: VIP Country Club

yay!!! that is sooo great to hear!!! I think EVERYONE was a little turned off with the blue seat cushions!!! I was thinking about renting chair covers too but it is a big expense. They should just make the seat cushion an ivory or something so its neutral. I am sooo excited...I attendent is Michael and he was very nice.

Re: VIP Country Club

I think I had michael too, but maybe he was a bit grumpy that day. On my first payment, he told me to come in on a wednesday and when I did, he wasnt working that day! So thats where Tom came in and totally dropped everything that was going on, they had an event at the time, some sort of fundraiser. Ever since then Tom has called me and updated me with everything that was going on he's been great. But btw, does n e one know how much is the 'parting is such sweet sorrow' per person?

ETA: the cushions are blue, because they were made to match the carpets, that are blue also. The carpets were put in recently idk how with all the colors they could have chose, they went with blue.....

Re: VIP Country Club

What turned me off even more than the blue chairs was the response I got when I inquired about chair covers... Are you ready?
'We don't have chair covers because we have nice chairs !' hahahahaha

It was a toss up b/n Fountainhead and VIP b/c of those freakin chair cushions and dark carpeting but in the end the beautiful view won!!!

Re: VIP Country Club

I've seen the Fountainhead in pics and I have to say it looked quite amazing. Their chairs can be as 'nice' as they want, thats their opinion. But in my opinion, I wonder if the guy or girl that picked that blue color was drunk!the table cloths are such a nice color but they went way off with the blue.

Re: VIP Country Club

You know I totally agree. The Fountainhead photographs extremely well. I had a mini meltdown and I called FH like 'Did we make the right choice?' his response 'well it's too late now.' LOL. I wish I would have know about LIW before I booked b/c I would have had a bit more insight, but with a lot of OOT guests I really like Davenport Rd and the outdoor amenities of the VIP.There's nothing like the curbside appeal of the VIP.

At the end of the day, we're all gonna have AMAZING weddings. ( And from what I hear the food isn't half bad )

Re: VIP Country Club

I honestly cant wait. I think that I also would have looked at more places before picking VIP, but in the end, I believe that we made a good choice. vip is beautiful and the rooms are spacious which gives us room to glam it up

Re: VIP Country Club

They do print the menus but they said I can provide them with my own paper to make it look nicer. They just use regular computer paper.
