Hey I'm in the same boat as you trying to figure out this site My sister went to a wedding at the VIP a few years ago and said it was Fabulous. She said that there was soo much food (which was delicious) and she had a really good time. However I have read mixed reviews online.

What other places have you looked at? I went to Glenn Island, Ritz Carlton, Fountainhead and Windows on the Hudson. I'm leaning towards Windows in Dobbs Ferry. Have you heard anything about this place?

I know what you mean about the mixed reviews but i think that any place is going to have those mixed reviews. Not everyone can like everyplace so i guess it is just expected. When it all comes down to it you and your fiance have to like the place. We saw 9 places so far in 3 day spand - and yes my fiance wanted to kill me lol! We did long island: Garden city hotel which was nice in someways and i didnt like how the bridal room did not have a bathroom, the next day we saw glen cove mansion, metropolitan, and the carltun. We both liked metropolitan because it is different the price was right i just wish it was a tad bit bigger we are estimated 200 + and i would like everyone to be confortable! Yesterday we did all the davenports and then glen island and fountianhead. Out of all of them we just felt confortable in VIP and loved it. IHad appt set up for tarrytown today but canceled them because we think we might just be content with what we've seen and i feel if we keep looking well both go crazy lol!
The place your talking about sounds like its really pretty.. ill keep a look out if i hear any info on it..
This is a crazy decision to make right? lol

'10er crashing..
Im booked at VIP country club. I am soo happy with my decision. Online I have read the different reviews but I know several people who have gone there for weddings and rave how great the food was and how much the place was so nice. I love their decor. I also feel like the service with everyone there has been excellent. They keep upgrading their menu and stuff as well. I recommend them. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me... Good luck!!

VIP is very nice. I attended a graduation party there a while back. I can't really give a review about the food because my friend had an ALL Dessert reception but the service was great and trust me I ate almost every dessert and they were fabulous! LOL

I got married at VIP back in May and I was very happy with them. The food was amazing, the guests were very impressed with how everything was. I wasn't in love with my bridal attendant though and I felt as though the band lead the wedding more then the Matre De. But other then that everything was just perfect. The manager there was amazing...he drove us over to the private beach in his own personal hummer so we could take pics on the beach and they came out amazing.

We are getting married at VIP Country Club on 05/29/2009. We visited it on the first date and we just knew. We went to several other in the Westchester County and it just didn't feel the same. We liked how it was complete seperate and very clean. I guess you just 'know' if it's the place.

My brother had his wedding at the VIP Country Club. It was a long time ago (I was a freshman in high school) but from what I remember the food was great!!

Re: V.I.P country club

I was at a wedding there a few years ago and all of us seem to remember the food differently. FSIL LOVED the food, I remember it being ok (nothing to write home about but certainly not inedible), FH and FMIL seem to remember it being pretty bad. And yes, we were all there the same night for the same wedding.

The cocktail hour room was pretty cool and very distinctive, but beyond that not terribly memorable (FH & I went to visit w/o realizing we had been there until we walked in the cocktail hour room).

Happy hunting!
