don't worry...I didn't take you as negative...I just wanted to let you know how fabulous he was and how I have not heard of a 'bad' experience...

I always believe you should go with your gut, and if it is to go with VIP...I want to reassure all VIP brides of the fantastic quality of the photos....

ok first let me say you two are stunning....next, i love the pic with the glasses and you two in the background, and I absolutely love the pic where you are barefoot in your wedding gown......beautiful pictures! thanks for sharing!

WOW your pictures came out Great!!! I am so happy for you guys.

1000 proofs that is great, I hope he overshots mine too, I want as many as possible.

Did you find he took enough of you and your husband?

My friend who had him as the photographer thur another studio thought there wasnt enough of the 2 of them. I think it was because of time, really but I didnt say that to her.

Thanks for sharing you pics, I really appreciate them.

I also didn't mean to sound negative about VIP. I only went to him b/c I had only heard good things about him on this board. YabbobayI think your pics are beautiful. And I like the one of the two of you walking away for your thank you card - very original. Anyway, library style does bascially refer to how the book is bound, but it also refers to the way the photos are finished. An album can be 'slip-in' b/c the pics are just slipped-in, glued down, and sprayed with a finish. With the librbary syle, the pics are actually adhered to the page. VIP charges $300 just to upgrade your album to library style. I even spoke to John about it and he told me it was a very expensive process, one that he couldn't do in his studio and that is why it was so exp. All I was saying was that some of the other photographer's base prices include this style, so John's basic prices seem to be cheaper. But he is comparable to others.

I am still confused about the library bound albums, he showed me slip in and also bound, the bound ones were part of the higher packages but still, $2499 was his highest package, I didnt see anyone with those prices.

I am using John next month for my wedding as well, on your recommendations from last year. I really like the toasting glasses one, I hope he does one like that of us.
