Visible stretch marks... help!

For most of my life, I was very heavy... i'm 6' tall and at my heaviest I was 390, currently 290. I also had a very heavy chest and because of that, I have some nasty stretch marks on my shoulders from my bra straps. I'd love to wear a strapless dress for my wedding but i'm not loving these marks. Is there something I can use to minimize the redness? I heard skin bleaching but that sounds dangerous. Someone told me cocoa butter but I thought that was just to prevent them from happening, not making them go away. Is there any foods I can eat that can help? I generally have a redness to my skin that always bothered me and maybe that's why my stretch marks are so noticible. I just wanna find a way to tone them down a bit. My wedding is in 15 months, so I have time to try a few things. Thanks.

Visible stretch marks... help!

I don't think there are any tricks really. I have stretch marks too but they have faded over time. If you are truly concerned maybe a dermatologist could give better advice than Vitamin E oil or cocoa butter. HTH!

Re: Visible stretch marks... help!

May be there is no permanent solution to it. But wherever you have it, you can apply a bit of foundation on it. It will make it less visible. Use the one like beige foundationbeige foundation

Visible stretch marks... help!

One makeup artist I spoke with said she would airbrush my shoulders for an extra fee, which to me is worth it. Ive been doing cocoa butter for about 2 weeks now... So we'll see how that goes as well.

Don't stress too much about it! Your FH loves you for you and if it is apparent in a photo, your photographer can fix it. Just be comfortable with your body!
