We booked our reception back in July and I wanted to go back to 'visit' the hall. I feel like I cannot wait until it is time to finalize...that won't be until 2006!!! Do any of you have this same problem? Has anyone called to make an appointment just to see the place again, or is that crazy and they will think we are insane???

I went back to Leonards 3 times, lol, you don't always need to book the visit, call and ask about the policy.
I said I wanted to show my out of time bridesmaid, well she doesn't live in the same town as me , the hall and they told me to come in anytime and just walk her around.
I did that again with my parents and then once more with my sister.
I love it and I couldn't get them together on the same day so thats how I did it.
They didnt' mind and I don't think its nuts!

I visited my hall probably 10 times before I actually had my wedding. I had lots of people I wanted to show and I had lots of ideas that I needed to go back and check stuff out to see if they would work. Give them a call and ask if its ok to drop by and look around so you can get some ideas for where you may want to take pics, to become familiar with the place. I am sure they won't mind as long as they don't have a lot going on!!

I have visted my hall a million times already. Sounds crazy but I like them to see my face so the day of my wedding im not another bride but they actually know my name now when I walk in the door. I started making the habit of dropping off my payments in person every month instead of just mailing a check... but thats b/c I dont live far and its actually easier for me.
I love going there every month... even though it stinks giving them my $$$ it makes me more and more excited every time I go!

I went to see Flowerfield all the time. It was great because we paid for the wedding in cash so I went there everyone time to make payments!!! The best was when I went to drop off the favors and everything was already for our wedding. That was so much fun!!! I would go and visit as many times as you want

In addition to going back for the tasting, I've actually gone back to Glen Island with my wedding planner just to look around and get a sense of the space and how many flowers we'll need, how chairs/tables should be arranged, etc. We didn't call to make an appointment, but it was a mid-week afternoon so we were pretty sure there wouldn't be a function going on

lol i do it all the time i am getting married at the chateau briand and every 5 months they send me a bill for 2500.00 (then the final payment a month or so before the wedding) but every time i get the payment i bring it my self and look around.. it's normal you just want to make sure well at least i want to make sure the place is the way i last left it .lol call me crazy ...........
