Vista Print ??

Hi Ladies...

Is anyone using Vista Print to make their own invitations? If so, can you give me a quick run down on how exactly it works. I'm new to this idea! I've heard that you can download a template from a site such as Etsy. But I'm a little scared about doing it on my own haha. Do you just upload the template you want to use to the website? Do I need any special programs on my computer to view the file or anything? Any information would be very helpful! Thanks in advance!

idk about etsy or Vista print but I know of your planning diy invites like from the company brides or wilton you can go to thier site for a template, I did that for my parents 25 anniversary party. I'm doing it for my invite too

I used vista print to print my flat invites, but I used a design of theirs only customized the wording/layout. I then added my own DIY embellishments and made the enclosure cards myself with coordinating card stock and in the same color/font and printed them at home.
If you want to use an Etsy layout you just follow the prompts on Vista print to upload it. Most etsy layouts will come in PDF file so you wouldn't need any special program. It's pretty easy and I've had a great experience with Vista print with my STDs, Invites, E-party invites and E-party thank yous.

I used vista print for my invites, but I used one of their pre-made templates.

My advise is to upgrade to the linen paper. Their regular paper isn't the best quality, but the linen paper was well wroth the extra $$

I used Vista Print for -

Invitations
Rsvp cards
Accomodation cards
Music request cards
Menus
Thank you cards
Stickers we used as seals on belly bands
Stickers for the candy buffet take-away boxes

Everything except for the stickers I did by uploading images. The invites thank you cards and rsvp cards came from a free weddingchicks.com template (there are a lot). Then, I did some editing in Paint and Powerpoint to design my own accommodation and music cards, plus the menus I designed in regular Word. It's very simple and easy - you can try to upload anything and if VP thinks it won't show well, you get a warning box.

Start by looking at free templates or graphics/colors/etc that inspire you and go from there! I used two groupons and spent about $200 on everything.
