Vote for my DJ - Can't decide!

I am currently in the process of trying to find a DJ and I looked at 3 companies: Starlight Express, Classie Sounds in Brooklyn, and Body Rock.

They are all very different prices and I just can't decide. It is such an important part of the wedding and cost is def. not something I am really considering.

I don't want any organized dance or an MC who talks a lot and tries to encourage people to get up and dance. Def. a more laid back approach as far as an MC.

But I just can't decide!!! So I need some help! Please vote for who you like and please give me some recommendations if you know fof any of them. THANKS!!!

you are open to more than the three above, i would check out FM entertainment's showcase.. they are exactly what you describe, they are not over the top and cheesey and dont try to pull people up on the dance floor. They also play only the music you want.

I used starlight express and loved them

my friend used classie sounds and they did a gret job at her wedding too

I second that. I was at their show case recently and they are not cheesey & they had some really reasonable packages to work with.

I thought Body Rock was charging an awful lot.. they qouted me nearly $1000 more than another DJ for the same exact thing.

Check out FM Entertainment & In The Mix. Two of the better priced & not so cheesey places I cam across.

I really recomend Starlight Express I used them and I asked for a 'quiet MC' I didn't want one that did more than basic annoucnements. They can cater to that,

we are using body rock...they had the best price for the laid back atmosphere that we were looking for.

out of those three i would have to say body rock.. my parents were at a wedding on sunday night where body rock was their DJ and they said they were AWESOME and that people were on the dance floor all night

I went to several weddings where Starlight was the DJ and they all were great parties, i really don't think you can go wrong with any of their mc's!!

For classie sounds, we heard Steve and Keith were good but if we went with them, we would be using the owner, Anthony. He is very laid back which is what we like. Keith is the type of person that gets into the party and does costume changes and really spends the night on the dance floor rallying the party. Not what I personally wanted but great for some brides.

No MC preferred for Starlight at this point. We need to reconnect with them.

Thanks so much ladies for all of the votes and advice. It def. helps in my decision process!

body rock was amazing. Had 240 guests and they had atleast 100 of us on teh dance floor at a time.. i'm not kidding. My friends and family still rave about how amazing they were.

I am parial to boody rock b/c i booked them. I have heard great things about them from others too and and not cheesy either. They are good at how well you want them to be involved with the crowd too.

we just did our wedding with them and EVERYONE LOVED THEM!!!
