Ok, give us more details. How many people, what time of day, day of week, month. What things are important to you in a reception location. Ceremony there too?

Here are the details:
-150-175 Guests -Saturday Night (Spring 2006) March-June -Ceremony outdoors in a Garden (if possible) at the reception location. -Reception must have a great dance floor and be very elegant

The Woodlands is wonderful I went there with a friend to do her finales and the woman Maureen that she worked with I wish I had handeling my wedding which is at the ST.REGIS Manhattan and there is no one there like her to help me. I must say the place is beautiful and she was wonderful. GOOD LUCK TO YOU.

Maybe you should consider the Vanderbilt Mansion. It's got all the elements you mentioned. I just put up a review and some pictures yesterday. Take a look.
I also looked at another place called Coindre Hall. Very exclusive, but very expensive. I thought the Vanderbilt was nicer, but you might want to check it out.
Good luck!

Re: Vote for my wedding location!
I had to decided between the Watermill and Westbury. I picked the Watermill because of the ceremony location and if it rained the indoor chapel (downstairs) was beautiful they really transform the room. With Westbury they would have to flip my cremony room into my reception room. I don't know anything about Woodlands though.

The Woodlands is my new fave...I eat lunch there out on the golf course all the time now. I wish I had known about it when I was location-hunting!
(BUT, I am still happy w/ our CLM decision )

Although I loved every single thing about my wedding at Fox Hollow, it sounds like the Woodlands might have exactly what you are looking for. Good luck!

Used to be Sail Harbor.
Go with Milleridge Cottage!!!! It's so gorgeous. The ceremony won't be outside but the atrium is sooooo gorgeous and looks over the most beautiful grounds, you feel like you're outside. Have you gone to see it yet?
If not the Cottage, go with the Woodlands. It'll be totally different since it's so new. I was not a fan of Sail Harbor (Carltun on the Sound) at all since you look onto the parking lot before you see the water.

My opinion on your choice... Woodlands, nice, but pricy (was quoted $115 for basic menu for a Fri nite in July 06)
Fox Hollow, nice, price was reasonable ($87)
Millerage Inn, never been there, but not sure it would meet the elegance appeal you are desiring.
Carltun on the Sound, no experience Harbor Club, no experience Watermill, I have been there for a baby shower on a Sat afternoon in June, it was CRAZY busy. My MOH was there this past Sunday for an afternoon wedding, I posted that review. FM if you want more info.

Milleridge Cottage is very elegant. There are chandeliers (simple, not overdone), hardwood floors, full glass atrium, etc.

Re: Vote for my wedding location!
i would have to say the harbor club
i am getting married there (exactly eight months from today) and the service there has been nothing short of excellent
both scott and susan have been more than helpful and are always just a phone call away when i need anything (and they actually call me back)
besides that both the inside and outside are beautiful and there is only one wedding at a time - that was very important to me
my best friend went to a wedding there on saturday night and she said it was one of the best weddings she has ever been to.
Feel free to FM me with any questions
So please add my vote to the harbor club in the poll - for some reason it wont let me add it there

I think the Woodlands is far and away the nicest place of those you listed, and it definitely meets all of the criteria you listed. Good luck!
