only problem with that, is that the rsvp date would be july 4th. fh is worried people will forget to send it in if they go away etc....is june 30th too soon?

I agree with your FH, I would go with June 30. It's usually 4-6 weeks prior, so I don't think it's too early.

I say June 30, this way if people are going away for the holiday weekend, they will stick your rsvp in the mail before they leave!

our rsvp date is 6 weeks before the wedding.

my date is 8/5, I'm going to make it 6/30 also because of the holiday weekend!!!! some people might be late anyway

I think 6/30 is better b/c of the holiday. People will send back their RSVP's before they leave on vacation.

When does your hotel block close?? I would make the RSVP date a week before that, so if there are OOT RSVPs that aren't back and you need to call, they can still book a hotel room.

July 1, its a saturday and before the holiday.

7/3 should be fine .. nothing later though.cause then you have to think that cause the holiday mail will get pushed back and it will slow things up
