I'm not against a recipe board. I'm just saying there should not be a board just for one month anymore... i think its very exclusive and unfair, no matter how many brides there may be.
SO maybe there should be a recipe board.... as long as there are no more boards dedicated to one month.... thats all... peaceful solution!

Just so you guys know why the may board was created. It was a present from Ron to us because we had a thread entitle May 03 Brides...where we talked about where we were in our planning and were keeping each other on track. The thread got so big that it had over 1,000 responses and over 20,000 reviews. I think that now that the 03 brides are done, it should be converted back to something that everyone can use. Most of the May 03 brides will tell you that when we stopped using the 03 thread and started using the board that there was something lost. JMO

why cant it be a recipe/home board?? I love both ideas and I need major help in BOTH areas! We post about everything on nwr so why not post about two things on a recipe/home board??? Please, please, please....i need help in these areas!

I vote for a Home Board too-that way it will cover lots of topics (recipes, buying a house, mortgages, gardening, decorating tips, etc...).

Ok, what's weird here is that everyone is saying that the May board should 'turn' into something, when Ron and Liz haven't even commented on it once. Why would the board have to 'turn' into anything really? I mean we're on a website, if Ron and Liz want it, they can add the tab and that's it, or if they feel it's useless now, they can delete it. Why would its mere presence annoy people, hundreds of people post here all day, on every board. Why does this have to turn into a back and forth about how rude it is and that the May board is too exclusive or something? That's just silly really. It was a great board for the members, we all posted everywhere else, and welcomed anyone that wasn't a May bride, we even had a regular June 1st poster.

I want a recipe board too, but I'm not gonna say dump the 03 or 04 boards to get it.

Although I don't really feel the May board is necessary anymore, because it was meant for a prize to us, and we're all married now, I want to know what's the big deal to everyone. I feel like everyone's been waiting for May to be over, so they could jump all over the board

What we should be doing is asking for a Home Board (which I really like that idea) or a Recipe board, and let Ron & Liz decide where they will put it. Not tell them to put it in the May slot. They will get rid of it if they see fit anyway.

Just to clarify my reasoning for this post was because we have waited for many many months to get ron to do a recipe board, and i thought maybe because we weree so clogged with other boards he didnt have room ,then i noticed that the may board was not being used at all, maybe one post a day, so i thought lets ask for that space if it is not going to be used, and all he would do was reprogram the name of the board and not a whole other one..


it was a thought.....and i figured if we got an overwhelming responce they would change the name... I understand RON AND LIZ OWN THE SITE, i am not DICTATING WHAT SHOULD GO WHERE, just merely giving an opinion...

But if this is going to be a problem, then lets by all means continue the requests for the recipe board and maybe for christmas we will get one!
