Votive or Tealight for placecard holders?

Votive or Tealight for placecard holders?

Hi there,

I think I've gotten myself all confused .... our DIY project is probably going to be votive placecard holders but I realized I'm not sure if you use a tealight candle or a votive candle??

Suggestions???

I used votive candles because I wanted them to last the entire night (and they did)

A couple of girls have said that the holder gets hot if you use a votive instead of a tealight. As for it lasting, I was at an LIW bride's wedding in July and she did them with tealights. They lasted all night.

I used tealights because I didn't want my guests to get burned while carrying them.

i used tealights, b/c they were cheaper and didnt make it hot for the guests.
