votive placecard HELP!

votive placecard HELP!

hey guys.. i really want to do this but i need to find a round candle holder that is the same diameter around so it's easy to wrap the vellum.. any idea where i can find them? the regular ones are almost v shaped and it's hard to wrap them without it looking messy..

please help!!

thanks guys.. christine, i saw yours and it came out really great!!... did you have to take into account that i curves in the bottom? was it a pain when you stuck the vellum to it? also, did you just use double sided tape on the vellum or did you also tape the glass? thanks so much!!

I didn't make those b/c I haven't the slightest clue of my tables or the guests yet, however, according to the instructions I've received, the vellum sat flush against the bottom, and did not get in the way of the curves. Double sided tape was used on the bottom and top of the glass.

I am in the process of making mine now. What I did was I took a plain piece of paper and wrapped it around the votive. I started at the base and curved it around. Then I cut all the excess paper away. With a straight edge, I cut around the top and bottom. This piece of paper is my template. I plan on tracing it onto cardboard, since it's sturdier and using the cardboard as my template. Hope this helps!
