VWR: I think i have an ulcer!

I am so much in pain and I really think I have an ulcer!

I thought I had a heart attack on saturday afternoon (no, seriously, it was that much pain) and then felt completely out of it the rest of the day and I still feel awful today!

It hurts to drink or eat anything...

I asked FH what it is and he said he thinks it's reflux but what does he know, he looks at brains all day, not stomachs?!

I'm so sorry sweetie, FH has an ulcer and that's what it sounds like. Make sure you get to your Dr. to make sure though, and they can give you meds that will make you feel better really quick and start to heal it.

It could just be reflux, it's amazing how much it can hurt, and it's surprising how little an ulcer can hurt--I've had both. The only way to know is to see your doctor. They can cure an ulcer pretty fast these days.

I don't have experience with ulcers but i do get acid reflux a lot and yes, it could feel like that. When I have an attack (usually brought on by food or sometimes stress) I get a lot pain under my breastbone and I also start salvating almost uncontrollably (like I'm about to puke). It's quite pleasant --especially when it happens in public. Then for the next 2 days my esophagus feels sore and is bothered by everything.
Does that sound at all familiar? The doc gives me aciphex (not sure i'm spelling that right) and he also gave me something that dissolves under my tongue when I'm having an attack.

Lately I haven't been able to keep anything down, and have been throwing up. My stomach growls constantly, but when I go to eat, I get sick . Could be wedding nerves, I'm not sure whats going on.
