Looking into the W Hotel NY, which is on Lexington as well as the W Union Square, which is on Park Ave. Thanks!

Re: W Hotel
you can try 'searching' for past posts on it. Just type in W hotel in the search. You can do that for anything...

I've been the the bars at both and those are very nice. I've also stayed at a couple of W's (not in NYC) and they're always great. However, the workers tend to carry that 'too cool' attitude, which I personally find obnoxious. But I don't know if that extends into the catering portion.

Re: W Hotel
W Union Square is right next door to where I work. i have eaten at Olives - their restaurant, and if it is the same chef for weddings, you will be in good hands - the food is wonderful.
I think the W was one of the offenders in the 'Bridezilla' show - if I am not mistaken, they gave a 20 minute cocktail hour. I might be wrong though...

No, you're right!! I forgot about that - Karen and Emmet, right?
Just make sure you go over everything in your contract with a fine tooth comb.

Re: W Hotel
I've eaten at Olives a few times (just appetizers and drinks) and been impressed with the quality (though not the quantity so much). Yep, that was 'Bridezilla' Karen and husband Emmett that got married at the W Hotel--I think there's was a the one in Times Square.

Re: W Hotel
i missed that episode - how was the wedding? was it gorgeous or just average or what?
I guess the cocktail hour was what earned the W a place on that show? it's such a good thing to know in case i book there - i will be sooo careful with the contract!!! other than cocktail hour, how did it look? thanks!
