Description When it comes to daring individuality and sheer, unadulterated chutzpah, you can't beat those wacky chicks -- an exceptional species of women who make up the rules as they go along. In Wacky Chicks, Simon Doonan, the creative director of Barney's New York specialty store and author of Confessions of a Window Dresser, celebrates the maverick lifestyle with twenty of today's most provocative and unconventional women. From celebrity chicks like Amy Sedaris, Carrie Fisher, and Suzanne Bartsch to some super-vixens you've never met, like the slashed-spandex-wearing Isabel Garrett, hip hypnotist Jessica Porter, and a crystal gazing shaman named Kazuko, all of these women are delightfully Belligerent, Resilient, Uninhibited, Naughty, Creative, and Hilarious (B.R.U.N.C.H. for short). A particularly nonconformist group, they dish the dirt with Doonan on what defines a wacky chick, how to cultivate a wacky chick style, and everything else from wacky chick spiritualism (Woo-Woo Chicks) to wacky chick business sense (Chicks with Schticks). There's priceless advice on fashion, beauty, business, dating, love, mothering, finding the right partner, and how to unleash your feminist wacky chick without losing your femininity.
A book that pays tribute to the wild and unstoppable female in each of us, Wacky Chicks is the ultimate guide to embracing your inner rebel -- an empowering, laugh-a-minute book certain to win this burgeoning literary humorist a legion of devoted fans.
