Wait!!! Do we really need a Thank-you speech at the Reception?

I hate speaking in front of people! Wait, I can give that job to my FH. Yeah, that's what I will do! Tell he has to write the Thank you Speech!

no way in hell can i do that!! i agree if this is somemthing that needs to be done...FH gets that job!! Im dreading doing 1 at the RD....and whats that 30ppl? no way can i get up and say a speech for 200!

I was actually thinking of making a slideshow saying Thank You and put pics of all of our friends/guests

Probably not having one. FH works in radio, so any speech could go on for hours!

I think we'll make a speech at our rehersal dinner to our BP, and save the thank yous to our other guests for the cards so we can thank them personally and individually for coming.

But it's your wedding! If you aren't comfortable, you don't have to do it!

My dad did one. He just introduced himself as Beth's dad and wanted to thank everyone for coming, etc. Then DH and I went and talked to everyone at all the tables (and we talked to a lot of people at the CH).


I like that idea a lot!

It's not necessary but we'll probably do a small one.

We're not having one. Just a MOH and BM speech.

Nope, we didn't do one.

I've seen parents do one, which is nice, but I think unnecessary.

We thanked everyone at the rehearsal dinner and we also had a brunch the following morning to thank everyone.

We didn't want to interrupt the flow of the evening of the wedding.

We are not doing this at the wedding. We will go around to every table and personally thank people for coming. We plan to say something at the rehearsal dinner to our bridal party and parents.

We didn't; and I feel a little bad about it.

The only speech we had at the wedding was the best man speech.
