I work in Farmingdale, I live in Massapequa and FH lives in Freeport...so anywhere on the south shore Nassau County works for me!

just so you know, if you work at a corporate place (ie chilis, fridays) they make you enter your tips into a computer and you will owe when tax time comes around next year...and most of them require you to work FRI, SAT and SUN when you first start for a few months. or at least that was my experience.

i had a much better time waitressing at a privately owned restaurant.

alot of hostess jobs do pay decent...I dont know about all restaurants but alot do...i know there are some restaurants in the city that will pay 18-21 an hour...others ive heard do 12-15 an hour.

Bartending or bottle service is also good money

depends on where you work though...dont forget you have to split your tips with the busboy and if its a place that doesnt get busy it wont always work out...i know people who worked 12 hours and would come home with like $40-50 after splitting the tips, this was on slow nights of course and others who make real good money.

Some hostesses make a decent amount. like i said previously theres some places that pay $18-21 an hour

most of them make more, at least in the city they do

i know people that used to work at piccolos in bellmore and at the restaurant at jones beach....they made MAD $$$.....and didn't work past 10:30 usually.

but honestly bar tending is where its at. 10X easier for much more $$.
