Walk Through Today

Fh and I are so excited! Today is the offical walk through of our recently purchased home. Tomorrow morning we will be closing on the house and take posession this weekend. Wow, I never thought the day would come.

look in the attic and the basement/crawlspace to be sure there are no surprises left behind.

Ask about anything you see left in or outside of the house. If there is a ton of junk in the garage or basement this is the time to address it.

Thanks everyone for all your advice. It went great yesterday! The home owners were there for the walk through. They had gotten a huge dumpster to get ride a lot of their $#*! , so the house was clean. The only few iteams that were left were things they offered us to keep or he would remove that day. One was a 2 yr old BBQ. So of course we said we would take it. We don't have one and really didn't know when we would save up to purchase one. So we will clean it up and fire it up next season. Next was this fairly new large entertainment center. It was so large, that they just didn't have room in the storage unit they are renting for it. So we said we would keep it and when we move it, see if we could use it...if not, to the curb with it. And lastly, a nice wall unit in the MBR for a TV and DVD Player. I was intending on installing one, but they are leaving theirs We were pleased with everything, can't wait to move in. This AM we have closing, FH has been passing the house all morning... he tends to be the stressful one and nervous. I am excited and can't wait to get it over with and have the keys in our hands. We have a long weekend ahead of us....painting, moving, ect!

I am so glad that it went well. It's great that they have a few things to leave that you really want. Yes, it will be a long weekend, but so worth it. Welcome to home ownership

We CLOSED! YEA.... and even got the keys! We moved a few boxes in this afternoon, will do some more tomorrow. I brought paint samples to the house today to get a better idea of color combos for the living room and bedroom. FH picked out this awesome color and I loved it to for our MBR. Cant wait to get painting this weekend. Tomorrow morning we will be hitting Aboff's and Home Depot. It can't quite put my finger on the feeling of being a homeowner. I think it will really set in, once we are sitting in our living room sipping on some nice wine that we realize it. Can't wait for that day....I am sure it will come soon!
