Walking down to Canon in D??

Hi - Are there any brides out there that are walking down the aisle to Pachabel's Canon in D? I was thinking about it and then I spoke to my church organist who said that's really for bridesmaid's and that I should be walking down to something more dramatic. I never really thought about it that way, but what are you other brides doing?? Let me know what you think....Thanks!!

Re: Walking down to Canon in D??

It's really whatever you want to walk down to. Maybe you could do China Roses for the BP and Canon in D for yourself, I think it's nice....

Re: Walking down to Canon in D??

I'm walking down to canon in D - it's my favorite - I absolutely love it. I may just use the same song for the BP and myself, but I haven't decided that yet.

Re: Walking down to Canon in D??

My SIL walked down to a female singer doing a great impersonation of Etta James' AT LAST. I thought it was a recording until I turned around!

Re: Walking down to Canon in D??

I'm walking down to Canon in D. Just my opinion but I HATE it when people tell me how I should do things for my wedding. I like Canon in D, and I am walking down to Canon in D. If that's what you want, you should do it too. When the organist gets married she can walk to down the aisle to whatever she wants.

That's what I want to use as well. I'll probably use something different for the BP.

Re: Walking down to Canon in D??

I've waited 29 years to get married, and although I LOVE Canon in D, I want the drama of the organ playing those first notes of 'Here Comes the Bride'. Whenever I hear it at a wedding, I start crying. I've been to so many weddings... it's MY turn to hear 'Here Comes the Bride' for ME!

Canon in D will be for the Bridal Party.
