Wanted to make DIY wands for after the church, but had a hard time finding wand sticks, but ran into these already made wands at Michaels...not sure how I feel about it may just do bubbles now
I've heard before that bubbles may mark up your wedding dress.
I'm making wedding wands and its a pain in the neck but doable while watching a few tv shows!
Originally had cut 1/2 inch diameter x 36' dowels down to 12 inches (I couldn't find packs with thicker dowels). Luckily found slightly thinner dowels (I think 7/16') that come in packs of 12 at AC Moore. Not as good of a quality as the 1/2 inch dowels, I've run into 3-4 bad ones, but it will do and not such a pain to cut. Just a pain to screw in the eye screws.

My friend got the bubbles at Micahels and they ******! The loop is too small that you barely get any bubbles out when you blow. Look for bubbles in bigger containers than those thin heart shaped ones because those work better. Also if its a windy day the bubbles won't work well and will just fly into people's faces.

Re: Wand vs Bubbles
I got my dowels in bags of 10 at michael's, for like $3 and used the 40% off coupons. It was def easy and only took like 2 hours at the max I recommend it. I only made 50. I tied them and hot glued under them i didn't bother screwing in the eye hooks.
