I just discovered a free section on craigslist.com It has been there forever but I never actually clicked on it. People post things they are giving away and you just have to go pick it up. Anyway I got two free big baskets for FREE!!! I'm gong to decorate them and use one to hold my favors and the other for a bathroom basket. The only problem is if the person lives too far its not worth the gas to go pick it up. I was lucky because both places I got the basket from were less than 5 min from my house. I'm always looking for ways to save money and wanted to share.

Yup, yup - that part of the site is AWESOME.
It's great because one man's trash is another man's treasure. Keeps things outta the landfills and such.
We live on a block with lots of pedestrian traffic, so in replacing old things with new wedding/shower gifts, we've been putting things in front of the house in crates with signs that say 'FREE - TAKE WHAT YOU NEED/DON'T MAKE A MESS' and people are taking dishes, coffee mugs, toaster ovens, etc etc etc...it's another great way to keep things outta the landfills, and people that need something can just carry it home.

But, maybe this is just the Bronx Girl inside of me....watch when you go pick up things. Bring someone with you, just be safe!!! Craigs list is full of psychos!

I'm totally paranoid in everything I do, everybody tells me I watch too much Law & Order. I only go with my fiance, only in the early evening, and if I spoke with them on the phone.
