How long has the new dog been in the house? Do you think over time, the two will get used to each other? What if you seperate them during the day in different parts of the house? The cockapoo is adorable!!!! Good luck!
Thanks! We have only had her for a week but I don't know if it will get better. Oreo is a puppy with lots and lots of energy and she is a very mellow dog who doesn't want to be bothered. LOL. I tried separating them but Oreo goes crazy and scratches the door and cries.
Would you consider bringing in some sort of trainer to help the two get used to each other? I bet over time Oreo will calm down and get used to having her in the house... Oreo is probably just so excited. Hope it all works out. Again, good luck!
Thank you definitely a good idea. If we can't find someone to take her I definitely will keep her and they will have to get used to each other. LOL I just feel bad because she has the personality that she likes to be left alone and is a calm dog and oreo is the opposite so he annoys her all of the time!
I have two dogs. At one point I had a black and tan(Rocco) and then Red (Peanut) dachshunds. They were buddies BUT they fought all the time but they were together since they were pups and grew up with each other. One day FH calls me and tells me about Milo(long story) and we have three dogs at this point Rocco HATED Milo(fighting barking growling showing teeth) because he knew he was leaving. Rocco was FH's cousins dog who lived with us but moved out. So Rocco left and Milo and Peanut didn't get along well. Milo would sit on the couch and cry(literally fur wet under his eyes and everything). Long story short it took time but they are friends now , they play together and lay together. The only thing that we can't do is leave them together in a cage alone (we have a large crate that the two of them fit in more than comfortably) If you give them time they will eventually warm up to each other. Maybe Tink is just a little scared. HTH and good luck with everything. Both of your dogs are precious!

Yes, I agree...don't forget she has just been taken out of the home she was used to, so this is a big adjustment for her...poor thing. If you don't mind keeping her, give it a little time.

OMG my sister had a cockapooo. It was the cuttest dog EVER. It looked like the snuggles bear. I have a dog and we are in an apt. otherwise I would happily take him

This is Tinker and Oreo before her haircut
Aww Tinker is beautiful. I almost starting crying because she looks so much like our old fmaily dog Sandy that passed on. SHe was a Cockerpoo too same coloring & was the BEST dog ever. She was like a sister to me. So sweet too. Tink reminds me of her. I wish I could have her but there are already 3 dogs in the household & one was recently added. But I certinaly hope she gets a wonderful home. she looks precious.
This is what my dog Sandy looked like.
Wow she could be Sandy's sister with how close they look. I can show you what they look like with the short hair too. If someone wants to know
Me & sandy when we were kids (just so you know those dogs are snuggle bears) (i look stupid so ignore me)
Keep me posted I would love to know if you successfully find her a home. If not I can always see if my parents would want another, though I know my mom may cry if she meets her (we still miss her)

Aww, so cute! Actually, they remind me of a smaller version of my Wheaton. Oh, and you look good in the picture!
