Me and my FH want to make a new last name for when we get married but are struggling a bit - we need a different perspective

FH joked about combining our last names and came up with either

Rasmain or Gerkop

Can you imagine either of those!!!

Dilkeny (sounds kind of Irish, if you are)

i am making a new last name based on the letters of our old last names because we want to start off as equals- and the hiffen is just too long

yes it is legal - NY is one of the easier states to do this in - whatever you put on the marriage certificate is what becomes your legal name and can apply to both parties

So we both have to change everything
