One of them, anyway. We have three 'cakes,' including the cupcake tower, so there will be several toppers on the cake table. This one, however, will sit on the tiered cheesecake my mom's making, as she totally fell in love with it. I also have a vintage 1930 bride and groom, a cute pair of white ceramic birds, and probably one or two other things. hope the good image isn't too big!
Thanks. I adore it too. And if anyone at the wedding wants to make jokes about us now being in a cage, well, marriage is sort of a pretty cage, isn't it? And I'm happy to be in there if I get to be with my sweetie. And these are the little birds I found on eBay that we'll put there too. I'm sure everyone will realize that I'm the one that's chirping at the other one! They cost me $6, I had to get them.
I'm wondering if I should get a retro tablecloth or runner for the cake table, as so much of it will be vintage. I wasn't going to buy a serving set, but I fell in love with this vintage one (although I think they still sell them new for $50-$60). Had to buy them in separate auctions. I'll probably tie some ribbons and vintage flowers on there. I love the cake knife, it's so loooong! The server hasn't arrived yet. I got them for great prices on eBay, less than $20 with shipping.
