FOR ALL OF YOU LOOKING TO STOP AUNT FLO ON YOUR WEDDING DAY:
first of all, if you want to see if you will have your period on your wedding day, google mentrual calculator and it will come up.
second, if you are going to have your period on your wedding day, you MUST MUST MUST do the following:
If you are getting married in June, for example, then 3-4 months prior to your wedding day, when you finish your pack of pills, donot take the 7 sugar pills (or if you don't have any pills to take at all) skip those pills and start your next pill pack immediately.
You will still get your period and this is normal. when you finish this pack of ppills, do the same thing, skip the sugar pills and start the next pack. at this point, you will have already had one period (depending on your body, it may have been lighter than normal) and it is now time for your second period. at this point, the bleeding willprobably be lighter than if you were having a normal period.
when it is time for you to start your third pack of pills, again, skip the 7 sugar pills and start the new pack, at this point, you should not get a period at all, although you may have occasional spotting throughout the month (at any time during these last couple of months is the spotting normal, even if you have had a normal period)
when you start your forth pack, you really should not have a period at all, but every woman's body is different.
PLEASE DO NOT think that because you go straight to a new pack the week of your wedding you will not get your period because you WILL.
you have to gear your body at LEAST 3-4 months prior to the wedding for this to work.
HTH!!!!

i've done this a few times before. whether it be for vacation or an event... i just continue the pack.. and then when the event is over, i pick up normally. i never had to do it 3-4 months in advance and i never had a problem.

Re: Want to Stop Aunt Flo on your Wedding Day?
my OBGYN always told me never to do this to often because it could cause havoc with your cycle... and like i said, every woman is different. i've done this one before and i had to start the full 3 months prior to...

Before doing this speak to your OB/GYN. Some OC's you CANNOT do this with, such as triphasic pills. (Ortho-tri-cyclens for example.) This method also may cause some break through bleeding.
If you are worried about having a menses during your wedding and worried about bleed through, you can use something called Instead. Type the website soft cup dot com. It's a 'cup' you insert and will capture..well you will get more info on the website.
Good luck all.

LOL! You sound like me! I've been bad w/taking my pills; but i am still on it
I've tried this before-where i just take the pills back to back and skip the sugar ones. It does work; but there might be some spotting.

Re: Want to Stop Aunt Flo on your Wedding Day?
I did this for my Dec. wedding and it worked fine. For me, my cycle didn't get off, but my GYN said it was fine to do.
