Want to take the grandchildren to a movie today.

Want to take the grandchildren to a movie today.

I tried to see what is out and all I find is the Disney film, Chronicles of Narnia. The children are 4 and 6. Is this too scary for them? Is there anything out that I missed?
Thanks.

I saw Narnia yesterday, and it has some rather violent scenes for a 4 and 6 year old. Have they read the book? If they have then it's more okay, but otherwise I wouldn't want to chance it.

Harry Potter's a little too scary too for that age. The Producers might be a good choice, but I'm not sure - it's got singing and dancing and a lot of the humor will go RIGHT over their heads.

I didn't see it, so I don't know if its scary, but they may like Cheaper by the Dozen 2 better. I know my 3rd graders loved it

They aren't familiar with the Narnia story at all. That's what I was afraid of. I'm wondering about Cheaper By the Dozen. Anyone think it's appropriate for 4 and 6 year olds?

Any other suggestions of what to do in Nassau today? We took them to the LICM not too long ago. Gee, I thought this would be easy.
Thanks everyone.

PS SweetCin, I taught 3 grade for over 20 years. I just loved, loved that age!! I retired a few years ago when the grandchildren started coming along. I do not miss the work but boy do I miss those little ones. My house is full of their little Christmas gifts. I have so many wonderful memories and getting Christmas cards with photos and updates from some of the parents is such a great feeling. I hope you have as many happy years as I did teaching.

Thank you...I absolutely love 3rd grade. I taught 2nd which I loved too & Pre-K, but 3rd is my fave.

You also can't go wrong w/ Chuck-e-cheese and what about Build a Bear

Ahh Chuck-e-cheese! What a great idea. I just spoke to their mom and she said a friend did recommend Cheaper By the Dozen for the kids. So after the movie, I may take them up to Chuck-e-cheese for an hour or so. Hopefully, after that they will be tired and happy with quiet games at home. They've been planning their sleepover for some time now and are very excited.
They just received a gift card from someone else for Build a Bear so I can't do that.
I can always count on you gals for great advice. Thanks so much.

Happy New Year everyone.

Cheaper by the Dozen is an EXCELLENT choice, I think.

I didn't see it, but I'm pretty sure it would go over alright.

Re: Want to take the grandchildren to a movie today.

The day was a huge success. Cheaper by the Dozen was a great movie. Both children sat perfectly still the entire time and they laughed and enjoyed it. My husband and I even thought it was entertaining.
When they wanted to play the machines at the theater, we said we had a better surprise for them. We didn't tell them where we were going but we sang songs and told jokes and the car ride went quickly. The 6 year old started cheering as soon as he saw Chuck-e-cheese's. They had a wonderful time going from machine to machine. The girl behind the gift counter couldn't have been sweeter. My grandson got 3 prizes but the 4 year old was entitled to only one. When she put on a sad face the girl gave her a blue bracelet to match her outfit. They were excited to get home to play with my puppy so it wasn't hard at all to get them to get them to leave.
Thanks for the advice.
