Warning....Here Comes the Bridesmaid/Bridesmaids.com

Hi everyone...
I have not been on this board in a few years, but I found it to be an invaluable resource when I was planning my wedding three years ago. I wanted to write a quick review about Here comes the bridesmaid in NYC in case anyone is interested in using them for their bridesmaid dresses. I was in a wedding party and we ordered our dresses online and I had a bad experience.

A few of us ordered our bridesmaid dresses from the Internet site. We opted to pick up our dresses to save on shipping. Right after I ordered, I recommended the store to my sister in law and her friend and they ordered their dresses for a different wedding from the store as well.

When the time came to pick up the dresses, I asked my husband to pick them up, as he works in Manhattan. The day he was going to pick up the dresses, I called the store and verified the address, hours, and what he would need to bring with him in order to pick up the five dresses. When he got to the store at 10 to 8 (8 is closing time), the doors were locked the lights were out and when he rang the bell, no one came to answer. He remained there for a few minutes and called me to verify that he was in the correct location. I was on the phone with him while he as still standing outside of the locked doors of the store ringing the bell. At around 5 after 8 he left and I emailed the store inquiring why they were closed early and how the situation could be remedied. The next day, I received a response stating 'they did nothing wrong', 'the staff was there until 8:15' and that my email 'almost caused a few girls to get fired.' Basically, accusing my husband and myself of lying. Furthermore, my sister in law ended up getting the dresses the next morning (she needed them for a wedding the following week). The girl who got her the dresses gave my SIL an attitude claiming that they were there until 8:15, which fas a flat out lie.

My husband was angry at the email and the fact that they treated my SIL that way and he felt they were accusing him of lying, so he called the store and asked to speak to a manager. She was of no help and also argued that the staff was there in the back and they did not close early. So pretty much, the staff never owned up to their mistake and accused their customers of lying.

I would strongly urge people to think twice about buying from a location with such deplorable manners and customer service.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I've been having nothing but good experiences with the team over there! Being accused of lying is not cool...
