Warning: Might be an overshare....

So as many of us know birth control makes the sex drive decrease...I know we've had convos on here about this. So I've switched my pill a few times and nothing has improved. Here are my questions:

- has anyone found a good pill to switch to?

- is there anythign like a horomone or something else to take to not make the sex drive decrease so much

- any suggestions on how to spice things up?

again sorry if this is an overshare but i need some help...tia!

we dont use anything LOL but just do you - mayeb light candles and be naked when he comes home - or do something you wouldnt ordinarily do. Weve been together 6 years & honestly i still get 'nervous' before we do anything..... good luck~

def not oversharing.... i have my spurts from one extreme to the other. I don't know if its my pill cuz i've been on it for 3 years and this issue has only started about... 8 months ago.

Just start experimenting with different things... lotions, candles /lotiony wax umm.. yeah
start off slow. something hardcore could totally freak u out and make the issue worse.

could be stress too

When I switched pills again, I shared the same concern with my OB/GYN. She prescribed me loestrin. Unfortunately I still think it affects my drive.

i actually just went for my annual gyno appt on friday and i talked to my dr about this.

I am currently on ortho tri cyclin lo. unfortunately, he said that any pills will cause the sex drive to go down...but a lower hormone pill like Yaz or Alesse might help...but then there are other side effects like more spotting etc.

he said the best thing to do is to go off the pill for awhile and just use condoms....but this makes me nervous esp b4 the wedding.

i am still trying to decide what i should do.

yeah thats exactly how i feel...i have been on it for like 6+ years and have only recently had a problem. The dr said that can happen after you have been on a pill for so long. I am nervous to switch though too bc i have never had any other bad side effects from this pill.

Re: Warning: Might be an overshare....

at least your doctor tried to give you a different pill to see if it would help you get your drive back...my doctor told me to rub a cream on it (ummm how would rubbing an overpriced cream on myself make me want to go within 10 feet of FH??!!)
To be totally honest, I got so fed up with having no sex drive whatsoever that I stopped taking birth control back in january. I noticed that i have gotten some drive back, but not all...

i feel the same way and i've only been on ortho tri lo for 2 months.... we still use protection because i am a paranoid freak and read too many things on the internet... we actually tried doing it without protection last month just to see what it was like but we ofcourse stopped after a minute because i was freaking out (because never not used anything before).... then i read that u should be on the pill for two months before u go unprotected soooooo we'll seee.....

My BC never did this to me (i've been on it forever), i use Femcon.
I know this sounds strange but when i work out a lot i lose the urge. And when I am really stressed and tired I am totally not into to.

It might be a combination of your BC, plus 1 million other things you are doing in a day. I've been buying new lingere to wear, FH will give me a massage. It helps!

Yea, I don't know how I've never heard this before, but it explains a lot! Wait until I tell FH about this, he probably won't believe me hahaha
