Aww. Feel better soon! FMIL and FBIL both had this done within the past year. Both scars are pretty light (one is thicker than the other, but they're still fading!)

Take it easy and let yourself heal!!

aw pooor thing, hope you're recovering well!

my mom had similar surgery and you can't really see a scar or anything, she used a lot of cocoa butter to help the healing

Oh, that won't even be noticeable by May!!! Get some of that scar ointment... Maderma (I think). That isn't even that bad now and it is only hours after the surgery. I'm sure there will be a line but nothing that you feel people are staring at.

When it's not so new... get tons of vitamin e capsules, break them open and rub the goo on the scar it will help it fade.

2nd all of this, I have had many, many facial surgeries, the key is vitamin e, out of sun and just try to rest and ice it now (if that's what the dr told you to do).

I hope you have a speedy recovery! And aren't you glad it's OVER? That was always my big thing post surgery, all the anxious feelings leading up to it were gone. Good luck!

Hope you are feeling better!!! Just a tip get this stuff called Scar Guard. My FH used it on his wounds from his car accident and it really helped in him not scaring so badly. It is much better than mederma.

I orginally bought it at the plastic surgeon's office. Then I found it at King Kullen in their pharmacy department. I am sure CVS or other drug stores have it. It's a little more pricey than other scar medications but it works good.

If the Vicodin isn't working call the doctor and ask for something else!!!! They are usually soooooo acommidating...when I had my gum surgery he told me just advil was fine, but by the time I got home it felt like someone had punched me in the jaw, so I called up and he called right over to the pharm for some percocets.
