Hi Brides! This is partly my fault for not following up on details sooner, but just wanted to issue a blanket warning when you're reserving hotel blocks for OOT guests and asking about shuttles. Apparently it is pretty typical for hotels to provide 1 shuttle per X number of ROOMS booked (in my case 15) but not for number of GUESTS. So even though 15 rooms probably holds 30 guests (or possibly more if people are sharing!) you might only be getting free shuttle service for half those guests. I am in this boat right now with 2 East End hotels. Again, partly my fault for not confirming sooner, but just want to raise a flag to those of you having to deal with this!

Wow...my hotel doesn't even provide transportation anymore. Now I think I know why...apparently these places can't get their act together.
Congrats and best luck....it's right around the corner!

I'm going to look at hotels this weekend for room blocks. When I called, the ones I'm considering said their shuttles are around 14 passenger, but they will make unlimited round trips to get all the guests to/from.

That sounds good, just make sure you confirm that with them on the contract. I was under the impression that's what our plan was, and then found out yesterday they will each make 1 round-trip for 14 passengers and then we have to pay $190 for each add't round trip. Consdering we have 24 guests in 1 hotel and 44 in the 2nd, that did not make me happy.

Thanks for the warning -- my hotel doesn't even provide any service, but I guess that's ok in the end.
I just got a quote today from a company that will do a 13 passenger van for 3 hours unlimited back-and-forth for $220 (including gratuity).
Seems like a pretty good quote to me, and we could just book it twice -- once in the morning to get everyone to the venue (including family early for pics) and then again in the evening at the end.
Does this sound like a reasonable quote to people?
LMK if you want the name of the company. The other quote I got was $800 for a full day with a giant motorcoach bus. Not terrible if you have that many people, but I don't think we'll have more than 20-30 ppl.

Re: warning re: hotel shuttles for OOT guests
We had 30 people to shuttle to the reception and then back so we got two 14 passenger vans.
All Seasons – (516) 333-3131 Contact: Tony
