My mom is totally old school and she feels I have been married before and everyone was at my shower when I married my ex. So its not good manners or clasy to have another one.
She also doesnt think I should be having a wedding either but thats a whole other issue.
And I am not having a BP only MOH and its not fair for her to shoulder the whole thing.

i know my shower will be fun. my mom and aunts and grandmas always throw good stuff.
... i'm disappointed because it's going to be half as big as it should since my family is in one state and FH's is in another.
i'm still secretly hoping FH's mom steps up to the plate and throws us something. but she wont.
I am kinda in the same boat. And to top things off, my mom invited men which is ok but now FH has invited all of his friends and wants to turn into some type of beer party.

I didnt have one either. couldnt afford to throw one for myself and the ppl I hoped would step up as I did for their time didnt.

Not at all!! As regy had put it- I'm just so happy I had one. All my family and friends were there and it was just an overall great time.
I'm only dissapointed it had to end.
