So at WBLI's big bridal party I won a dress. They only had a few to choose so the woman said I can get a $500 credit towards a gown in the store. Well.. after I got home and opened the voucher it says it expires 9/2011. I am getting married in 2013 (which she knew) and have no plans of getting a dress this early. Do you think they will extend it for me? I'm so upset.
why don't you take one of the dresses they have available and you can sell it on ebay or preownedweddingdresses.com - that way you'll make some money off of it to put towards the dress you really want to buy
At the time I didn't think of doing that because she said I could get the voucher and I know the bridal place is really nice and I could probably find something that I liked there. I think it would be too late for me to change my mind.

I'm going to call the owner today. I have been to this place before with friends and liked it so I thought it would be a great place to get my dress anyways so when the woman said 500 voucher I said I will take it not knowing their was so much fine print she didn't tell me about. If he says they won't extend it I will ask if I can get a dress. I will let you know how it goes with their 'customer service'

How about looking for a shorter dress and using it for your shower or rehersal dinner?

I wouldn't recommend buying a dress and re-selling. You won't be able to re-sell full price and you'd probably end up losing money. If she won't extend it, then ask if you can sell it to someone. Like $100 for a $500 coupon. At least you can make SOME money.
In the fine print it says the dress has to be at least 1500 to use the 500 (which they didn't tell me either). I figured my dress would be around that so that doesn't bother me. Since it has to be that expensive I wont be able to use it for a bridal shower dress. They open at 11 and I AM SO ANXIOUS I cannot take it.
Call the salon and see if you could use the credit toward other items in the store...like day of jewlery or a veil, etc...

I think its better to sell the coupon since ordering the dress takes time and then risky to sell it for a price that prob wont go for what you paid for it.
def talk to them!! and mention liweddings because this site is a great source for them to get potential buyers, or worse can turn people away from going there as well!!
UPDATE::: They changed the voucher to say I can purchase a dress before August 2013 and they were SO nice about it. I ended up going down in person because I feel it is more difficult to say no to a face than a voice. I am so happy. Thank you all for CALMING my nerves.
