Play dumb and when your RSVP date comes say 'Oh we never got your RSVP back' then they'll say 'We never got teh invitation' then you can act all surprised and shocked and 'I dont know what could have happened to it! '

Thats up to you, our pastor and wife were really close to us, so we defiantly wanted them there. But if your deacon is just performing the ceremony and thats it, I don't really know if I would invite them.

If you have an extra one, I would send it ... and if not, do like the OP said and play dumb, saying that the postal people messed it up

thanks girls.. i really dont know this deacon and hes just performing the ceremony. i dont feel he needs to be there but im not sure if i was 'supposed' to if you know what i mean
